Parade Deck Films is pleased to reveal the new poster, and unleash the first trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of independent director and cult-star, Jason Trost’s latest film, How to Save Us.

For his fourth and most daring film as director, Jason Trost (The FP, All Superheroes Must Die) brings us, How to Save Us. When Brian Everett’s younger brother Sam goes missing on the island of Tasmania during the middle of a mysterious quarantine, Brian (Jason Trost) is forced to traverse across enemy lines to save his brother from an army of ghosts, by following Sam’s rules of survival. But will this buy enough time for Brian to find his brother, or will they both be stuck in a hellish realm of the dead forever?

Brought to life with a bone-chilling and brilliant score from acclaimed composer, Tori Letzler (American Horror Story, Thor: Dark World), Phil Miller’s astonishing cinematography and Trost’s strong directorial instincts, How to Save Us, is being lauded by critics as a, “powerful,
somewhat introspective look at family through the eyes of a man who has lost his,” and, “an independent film with a strong foundation in genre and a uniquely vivid vision.”

Synopsis:  Brian heads to Tasmania when his younger brother goes missing during the middle of a mysterious quarantine. Upon his arrival at this deserted island, he discovers that the only inhabitants who are actually left are demonic spirits that have infested the island. In order to survive this barren landscape, he must follow a set of rules, some of which include covering himself with human ashes in order to cloak his presence from the malevolent entities he encounters at every turn. Will this buy enough time for Brian to find his brother, or will they both be stuck in this hellish realm where the dead roam free, forever?

Writer/ Director Jason Trost’s latest film is a departure from his previous works, The FP and All Superheroes Must Die , but still resonates his skill as a storyteller, actor, and director. The film focuses on Brian, played by Trost himself, to carry the narrative through empty cities and beautiful landscapes. With a minimal cast and onsite filming in Australia, How To Save Us is being lauded by critics as a “powerful, somewhat introspective, look at family through the eyes of a man who has lost his” and an “independent film with a strong foundation in genre and a uniquely vivid vision”.
