Adam Hackbarth is known for his involvement with movies like APRIL IS MY RELIGION and INBRED REDNECK ALIEN ABDUCTION. We caught up with him to see what he has been up to recently.

DG: Since INBRED REDNECK ALIEN ABDUCTION, you've written at least two projects that are in production. Tell us about THE POSSESSED.

Adam: I wrote this one in a relatively short period of time. Distributed by Creative Light Worldwide, it examines the typically cheesy slasher character and what would happen if half way through their killing spree they had a change of heart. It's a pretty screwed up story,¬Ýand yet¬Ýaudiences may be surprised at how the story is centered more around emotion and less about carnage. Picture the Breakfast Club but with Lizzy Borden in the Molly Ringwald role.

DG: Tell us about DARKWORLD. What is it about? Who is making it?

Adam: I am extremely excited about Darkworld. It really does have everything: demons,¬Ýsix or seven extremely stunning women, crazy fight sequences, blood, a drunken monk, a gay televangelist, amazing music, shotgun-toting truck drivers,¬Ýall mixed together with my sick sense of humor, terrific acting, and some beautiful photography by our director/cinematographer David Palmieri."I'd like to explain it, but it would probably be best if you just visited www.darkworldthemovie.com and looked around. The executive producer was Ted Chalmers (Man With the Screaming Brain, Faust: Love of the Damned). I think they just started shopping it around for distribution, so it isn't too late for some company to swoop in and pick it up."

DG: I interviewed Mara Marini about her work in BLOOD LEGEND. Who does she play in DARKWORLD?

Adam: Mara plays Faith Diggs, a young woman who seems to be unwittingly dancing just underneath the shadow of ultimate evil. With a demon army close behind, Faith must team up with her dead demon sister (Gina Valona), a seemingly crazed monk named Malachi (Jeff Swarthout), and her boyfriend Brian to escape the clutches of the ruthless Mr. Sixx and his band of twisted demon servants. Mara is amazing in Darkworld. She's got terrific comedic timing, and yet she plays everything off with enough restraint to where her performance still sends a few chills.

DG: I also see that you've done some special effects work on about of movies, one of which was DEADWOOD PARK, from Wicked Pixel. What did you do on that project?

Adam: My role was quite limited, primarily because I was in the middle of yet another screenplay. However, I was fortunate enough to be on set during some of the most amazing days of production, and I was also able to spend a few late nights helping with FX preparation. The on set stuff promises to be some of the best work you have ever seen from Eric Stanze and the Wicked Pixel crew. Explosives, flying body parts, full-on WWII combat -- I am very proud of Wicked Pixel. They have a real gem on the way.

DG: How about MIL MASCARAS VS. THE AZTEC MUMMY? What a crazy title? Jeff Burr is directing? What's the deal?

Adam: I did all of that work off set. I teamed up with Patrick Voss and Robot Monkey Lab to help them crank out various special FX. If you are familiar with the fine tradition of¬ÝLucha films or the history of Mexican wrestling, then this is the film you have been waiting for! Visit http://mmvsam.com for more information.

DG: Did I hear rumor there was an INBRED REDNECK ALIEN ABDUCTION sequel in the works?

Adam: Wow... I have people ask me about this one. Yeah, we've played around with ideas, but we have never really seriously thought it through. It is certainly possible. I usually start joking about it whenever I find myself sitting at a greasy spoon at around three in the morning. I've thought of Inbred Redneck Alien Dance Party (think Boogie Nights), Inbred Redneck Alien Assault (think Rambo), as well as Inbred Redneck Alien Lockdown (a mix of the show Oz and the first Inbred flick)... stupid stuff indeed. I dunno, it might be fun.

DG: What else do you have on the horizon? What can we look forward to in the near future?

Adam: I have been in discussions about writing a Darkworld spin-off, but lately I have been having fun in my personal life and yet keeping an eye open for new opportunities. I am always willing to meet with new people and discussion future projects. I'd like to thank everyone for making 2005 an amazing year, and I would like to encourage you to e-mail me at and discuss 2006 and beyond.

I think Dawg used a pick-up line on me when we met up at the airport that first time waazaay back for Cereal Wednesday. I don't remember what it was, but I'm going to admit in retrospect that it obviously worked on me so well that I moved across state line into his mom's basement for a month just so I could be with him. Now THAT'S a pick-up line. Or maybe Dawg's just a charmer, considering I can't remember what it was hmm. That comment seemed funnier in my head.

Way back in the day the best line I ever heard was Hey you can trust me I'm with three Japanese guys . This was from a total stranger trynig to get me to stop so he could ask which of two bars was the better one to take them to. It made me laugh so I stopped and talked to him. We dated about 6 months before he got transferred back to California.

You ended with a bang there. I recommend the puickp artist series. I learned a lot and know I totally would fall for those lines/moves if i was out there. I'm going to show that to the girls when they're older so they are more aware.

The best pickup line I've heard leatly was You seem okay. I wouldn't back over you with my car right away. Ultimately, it didn't work out, but it was possibly the only time a complete stranger has managed to score a date with me. http://ybsjbiyuz.com nkeyfr [link=http://xvylpqvnj.com]xvylpqvnj[/link]

I'd like to send this letter by order slevotra “We’re just too careless,” Wittman said. “You’re going to turn the ball over, but too many careless ones. Three or four three-on-two or two-on-one situations that we turned the ball over. Those have got to be baskets and opportunities to score.”
